Four Young Persons Reported Missing from Puerto Vallarta Found

The four young people from Puerto Vallarta who were reported as missing by their families are already located and in good health in their homes.

The Jalisco Prosecutor's Office began an investigation folder to locate four young people from the municipality of Puerto Vallarta who have been missing since May 21, the date on which their relatives had the last contact with them.

Relatives of the young people reported to the Special Prosecutor's Office for Disappeared Persons (FEPD) in order to file the corresponding complaint for their disappearance, informing the authority that the day they stopped having contact, one of them advised that they were going to a party with a friend, without giving further details, and who later was contacted by a friend telling her that they were going to the city of Guadalajara.

Various research acts were carried out from which data were obtained that the young people boarded a vehicle in a shopping center located in the hotel zone of the tourist destination, in which they were transported to the metropolitan area of Guadalajara.

Once the criminal news was known, the state agency began with the investigations, carrying out different operations not only in the tourist port, but also in different municipalities, including those that make up the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara in order to locate them.

Throughout this process, the FEPD had maintained permanent contact with the families of the young people, with the aim of informing them of its progress.

Early this Sunday the Prosecutor's Office received information that the young people had returned to their homes in good health, so the agent of the Public Ministry initiated the corresponding protocols in order to corroborate the information.

Until the afternoon of this Sunday, the FEPD managed to maintain contact with three of the young people, confirming that they were already in the company of their relatives, so work continues in order to maintain communication with the last of them.

The State Prosecutor's Office reiterates its commitment to society to carry out all the necessary investigative and field actions to find the whereabouts of the persons reported as missing.
