It's been a month since my last report and things were a little stagnant. Things have changed now, water temperatures are still warm, but the water is blue. We're seeing less of the seasonal rains now that we're entering the Active fishing tournament season. With Sailfish and Marlin picking up in numbers off Punta Mita aka Punta Nayarit now and Eight hour trip is worth it. Ten hours to Corbetena has Blue and Black Marlin running the area, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna and more. Targeting Tuna, start ten miles north of the rock at Corbetena. Dorado are the real story right now, they've taken over the entire area. Super large Dorado or Mahi are available at the deep water distances, not locations. This year, even for "low season" the tourism is down dramatically. This means the fishing grounds mostly are uncrowded making this a priceless opportunity. If you're willing to use fuel, then anything is possible in Puerto Vallarta's world class fishing grounds.
