ITINERARY:
DAY ONE Wed. Dec. 29
Meet at the Entrance to SAM'S at 9:30 am then board the private van at 10 am. Please be punctual. Then 2.5-hour ride over the Sierra Modre Mountains to Mascota with mid stop at Carmen's Bakery. Checking into the Mason San Jose Hotel, then local walking tour with John. Dinner and all meals as a group or on your own.
DAY TWO Thurs. Dec. 30
After breakfast we will board a safari-style van & head to Navidad the 400-year-old silver mining town with lunch on the plaza. Returning to Mascota to participate in ringing the church bell that can be heard 5 miles away. Dinner with group on your own.Overnight Mason San Jose.
DAY THREE Fri.Dec 31 New Years Celebration
After breakfast we'll hike up and into the famous Volcano with picnic lunch included in the crater. Return to our hotel to prepare for the New Years Party & celebrations. Overnight at Mason San Jose.
DAY FOUR Sat. Jan. 1
After breakfast, about 10 am John will lead a hike from the hotel to the nearby river to enjoy nature & unwind from the night before. Afternoon optional one-hour sunset hike to the Dam for Dinner.Overnight Mason San Jose.
DAY FIVE Sun. Jan 2 return to Vallarta
All morning to relax and visit the many local shops & Mercado Principal before our departure to Vallarta at about 3 pm. Arriving in Vallarta at sunset or staying longer in Mascota.
