Jalisco Joins Tourism and Economic Reactivation Campaign “En Verano, No te Rajes”

To promote the economic and tourist reactivation in the state, the Government of Jalisco, through the Ministry of Tourism (Secturjal), joins the campaign “En Verano, No te Rajes,” or  "This Summer, Don’t Give Up."

The campaign consists of state and national governments working with private initiative, which will take place from June 28th to August 23rd, 2021, with a website offering discounts and sales from June 28 to August 23. 

The objective is to provide travel, shopping, and service options in Jalisco with discounts and rebates to detonate the domestic market and advance the economic recovery The tourism and commercial sectors involved will reinforce health protocols to generate confidence in tourists during the summer season. 

The campaign includes promotional strategies with local, regional, and national reach, mainly through social networks, as well as the activation of a website where affiliated businesses will offer their packages and discounts. 

“I am convinced that this promotional activation 'En Verano, No te Rajes' will have a positive effect on businesses and companies, but also many employees who depend precisely on these activations and especially on the reactivation of tourism… From our city, welcome to this type of promotion, and thank you very much to all who participate in it,” expressed the head of the agency, Germán Ernesto Kotsiras Ralis Cumplido.

It is important to note that Jalisco has the "Safe Travel Seal," from the World Travel and Tourism Council, which certifies it as a safe destination for the implementation of health protocols, which will be reinforced during the summer to privilege the health of employees and visitors. 

For his part, the president of the Guadalajara National Chamber of Commerce, Raúl Uranga, said “In Verano No Te Rajes’ is a project… whose central strategy is economic reactivation, and the promotion of Guadalajara and its surroundings on a national and international scale, to attract tourists and visitors to our city and the surrounding cities.” 

In this initiative, in addition to the Secturjal and the Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce, the Guadalajara Convention and Visitors Bureau, the National Chamber of the Jalisco Restaurant and Spiced Food Industry, the Jalisco Hotel Association, the Regional Council of the Restaurant and Gastronomic Industry of Guadalajara, the Association of Hotels of Chapala, the Association of Haciendas, and Casonas de Jalisco, among others.
