In this Roller Coaster La Nina Year we're seeing strange fishing. We have Egg laden Dorado that normally we wouldn't have.

We’re finally seeing some changes for the positive when it comes to fishing in Puerto Vallarta.
Here we are again, Week four in the “Bubble”. I don’t know if it’s a current or if there is some underwater volcanic activity, but the water is still warm and blue off Punta Mita.
As we sink deeper into the winter fishing season we see the same conditions from last week continue. The "bubble" is still hanging around off Punta Mita but things have adjusted from ten miles out to less than five miles from the shore. It seems the only fish taking bait is closer to shore. Those heading out would be well served to use downriggers with live bait. In the bay is still your best bang for your fishing dollar. For now it's "action" fishing. Smaller game fish in the bay, but plenty of them. Great for families and first time fisherman.
Strangely enough we’re in the third week of the “Bubble”.
