Easy and Delicious Pork Tinga

The tinga is ideal to prepare quickly and obtain something very yielding. In Mexico it is usually prepared for gatherings or family meals served on tostadas. We bring you the recipe for this delicious dish. 

Ingredients 

½ kilo of pork leg

2 garlic cloves

salt to taste

1 can of chipotle chili peppers in oil

manteca

1 onion thinly sliced

3 large tomatoes, cooked or roasted. 

Preparation 

Cook the meat in a pot with water with a clove of garlic and a little salt to taste. When it is well done, drain the water and let it cool. Once manageable, shred the meat and set aside, or cut into cubes if preferred.

Blend the 3 tomatoes, a clove of garlic, and chipotle to taste. If you want it spicy, add more than half of the can.

Heat the manteca in a frying pan, add the sliced ​​onion, and fry until the onion turns transparent.

Add the sauce that you mixed in the blender and a tablespoon of salt to the pan with the onion, and let it simmer over low heat for 4 minutes.

Add the shredded meat, mix well, and simmer for another 5 minutes.

Clever! You can eat the pork tinga in small cubes or in tacos or on tostadas, and the best part of all is that even when cold it tastes incredible.

 

Tip: Add a little avocado and cream to your dish to taste a delicious and complimenting combination between the acidity of the chipotle and the dairy flavor of the cream.
