Jalisco Culture Announces Beneficiaries of the Cultural and Creative Industries Project

The Ministry of Culture of Jalisco through the Directorate of Cultural and Creative Industries has released the results of the call for the Cultural and Creative Industries Projects, which can also be found on the agency's website.

The program provides public resources for the reactivation of Cultural and Creative Industries, which, given the economic impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, must adapt to new needs and consider restructuring their business models. The measures of attention to face the COVID-19 pandemic affect the ways of creating, producing, distributing, and accessing goods and services with cultural and artistic content. It is essential to take measures so that the stages that make up the cultural value chain are adapted to the current contexts of distribution, dissemination and access.

In this context, priority was given to projects that present innovative proposals in accordance with the pandemic, complying at all times with the health measures proposed by the Government of Jalisco through the Ministry of Health.

In total, 11 projects benefited for a total amount of 984,935 pesos in the areas of: audiovisual media, art commercialization and distribution platforms, new technologies applied to culture, independent cultural spaces, design and creative services and books, publications and press.
