Local Kids Receive Free English Classes from American English Tree Institute

American English Tree is a Spanish and English language institute in Puerto Vallarta that began in April 2017 with a fabulous program and fun learning method.

It is an English and Spanish institute for adults and children that teaches with a “military method,” a methodology different from other teaching systems where the essence of learning is given thanks to the fact that the explanation is exposed to the student in the student's native language. Thus, the student is able to assimilate a new language into their own cultural heritage.

The student will be able to choose the modality of face-to-face or online classes, and there are a variety of payment options. If the student chooses to prepay for a full year, the cost is less than $100 per month. They offer Basic, Basic Intermediate, Intermediate, Intermediate-Advanced 1, Intermediate-Advanced 2, and Advanced classes. On average, students can complete each course level in 2-3 months, and can learn to speak fluently in about a year.

Also, American English Tree presents multicultural events that take place each month. What is a multicultural event? It is an event that takes place with the presence of students from both the English and Spanish classes where they all interact and practice both languages.

They are dedicated to helping students achieve their dreams and goals. Their commitment is to guarantee their success.

In addition, as an institute they also carry out altruistic actions for the Vallarta community and Bahia de Banderas. It is part of their mission and commitment to the community to keep a minimum of 50% of their students fully funded through scholarships.

How? For each Spanish student who registers, they give a 100% English scholarship to a child with limited resources so that he or she can study English in a permanent program.

Currently they are working with non-profit organizations and government agencies that support the Vallarta community and Bahia de Banderas. These associations provide 100% scholarships for children, volunteers, and collaborators to study English in a permanent program. These associations and organizations are: Center for Justice for Women, De mano a mano, Grupo Bennu, Bay Area Women's Center, DIF, RISE (Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza) and Vallarta Abuelos.

The institute was formed thanks to the Mexican-American ex-military EDIZON RODRÍGUEZ, a unique character who was in the United States military traveling the world for around 10 years learning new cultures and languages. When he decided to retire, he settled in Puerto Vallarta to found the first institute for teaching English and Spanish with the military method.

Concerned for the Vallarta community, he decided to give 100% scholarships to children who do not have the resources to study the English language. Subsequently, a large number of North Americans joined the work of Edizon Rodríguez and began to support his efforts by covering more scholarships to those most in need, in addition to offering volunteer services to practice the language with students.

A different and effective method in learning English and Spanish, added to an altruistic work in the Vallarta community, identify AMERICAN ENGLISH TREE as one of the best English and Spanish schools in Puerto Vallarta with a socially responsible attitude.
