Jalisco Grants 13 Million Pesos for Productive Projects in Strategic Sectors

To promote the economic development of the state through its strategic sectors, the Government of Jalisco will allocate 13 million pesos in the call for productive projects and extraordinary support from the State Council for Economic Promotion of the State of Jalisco.

This program was designed within the context of the economic slowdown that is currently being experienced as a result of the COVID19 pandemic, to promote economic reactivation with the granting of support to micro, small, and medium formal economic units and civil associations whose economic activities are developed in the artisan sector, creative industries, filming, sustainable tourism, gastronomy, and identity products of Jalisco that seek designation of origin or other certifications.

Within the call, support is considered for those that require some type of certification of ownership, or designation of origin for the identity products of Jalisco.

For the artisan sector, the support is aimed at the exhibition of works, their commercialization, and the participation in contests that favor the dissemination of the quality of artisan products.

The small businesses in the creative industries, filming, and audiovisual productions sector will be able to receive support for the purchase of equipment or infrastructure that allows them to be at the forefront of their industry, and be able to compete in national and international markets.

For sustainable gastronomic tourism, support will be granted for its promotion in the interior of the state through advertising, infrastructure, and equipment for businesses along tourist and cultural routes.

And for the sectors that require support to obtain the declaration of Denomination of Origin or Geographical Indication of Jalisco's own products, support will be provided to carry out technical studies or any other studies related to the Denomination of Origin through the Regulatory Council of the matter.

The supports are grants with no repayment requirements, and those interested may request the resource until October 30, 2021.
