Pacto Fiscal Citizen Participation Meetings Postponed One Week

Pacto Fiscal Citizen Participation Meetings Postponed One Week

The Council for Citizen and Popular Participation for Governance has changed the dates for the citizen participation meetings regarding the Pacto Fiscal.

Due to a conflict of dates in the Tlaquepaque IEPC, the meetings in each region have been delayed by one week.

The new dates will be:

November 27 and 28; Regions: Alto Sur, Altos Norte, Cienega and Sureste.

December 04 and 05; South Regions, Lagunas, Sierra de Amula and Valles.

December 11 and 12; Western, North and South Coast Sierra Coast Regions.

December 18 and 19; Central Region.

Throughout the state, 3,273 electronic ballot boxes will be installed in 970 IEPC voting centers, 100 of which will be in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area. It should be mentioned that through these boxes the opinions of all ages of Jaliscan residents are invited, though the opinions of legal aged persons with valid voter credential will be computed separately from those who are not.

Presiding Counselor María del Rocío Delgado Gil indicated that “it is important to make them see that the participation of girls, boys and adolescents is as valid as that of citizens with INE but, in order to guarantee the greatest certainty and reliability, it will be the sum of the opinion of citizens of legal age, (that will be) the one that takes effect as binding." During this same session, it was approved by the Council to consider binding only those opinions provided by citizens of legal age.
