Registration Opens for Payroll Assistance to Bars and Clubs

The support will be used to pay the payroll of employees with at least two months of seniority in the company.

Today, the Government of the State of Jalisco opens the registry to participate in the call for the Reactiva Emergencia program, in the form of support for clubs, bars and related giros; which has a total purse of five million pesos to support these businesses, which in response to measures to contain COVID-19 infections, had to suspend operations during August. Establishments from the 125 municipalities of the state of Jalisco may participate.

Through this program, the aim is to support the payment of the payroll of bartenders, waiters, garroteros, cleaning personnel, among other workers who work in the following sectors:

Bars, clubs, discotheques, nightclubs, canteens, bar centers, beer halls, cabarets, pulquerías, tepacherías and video-bars.

The support will apply to formal micro, small, and medium-sized companies domiciled in the state of Jalisco, and that have suspended their operations during the month of August due to sanitary measures. The maximum amount they can access is up to 100,000 pesos per company.

Micro companies with 1 to 15 employees will be able to access up to 75,000 pesos for the payroll of workers with at least two months of seniority in the establishment, allocating a total of 5,000 pesos per employee.

Small and medium-sized companies with 16 to 250 employees could receive up to 100,000 pesos to pay the payroll of workers with at least two months of seniority, allocating up to 5,000 pesos per employee.

These supports are part of the Jalisco Plan for Economic Reactivation, which seeks to protect the sources of employment in Jalisco and ensure the permanence of businesses during the crisis caused by the pandemic.

“We start this week with very good news, since as part of the State Government's strategy for economic reactivation, I can share with you that we have already opened the registry; the platform to register those companies of nightclubs and bars so that they can receive a support for your workers. These supports, as has been discussed, consist of... 5,000 pesos per employee, but they (total) up to 75,000 for those companies with 1 to 15 workers, and up to 100,000 for those with more than 15 workers,"commented Diedra González Free, Secretary of Economic Development.
