The General Law of Higher Education was published on April 20 of this year in the Official Gazette of the Federation. It is the first of its kind to be applied at this level of education. It establishes that the legislatures of the federative entities, within the scope of their competence, must harmonize the legal framework and develop their State Law on Higher Education.

For this reason, the Undersecretariat of Higher Education will carry out this consultation to gather comments and recommendations that help to draft a law that responds to the needs of the entity in matters of Higher Education.
