First Dose Vaccinations for People Over 50 Concludes in 44 Municipalities

This vaccination campaign for the age group 50 years and older, older adults who have not had any vaccines yet, and pregnant women began May 31st in ten regions of the state.

After five days of work, 71,103 first doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine were applied. Just yesterday 3,438 doses were applied.

Meanwhile, in the macromodule enabled in the Benito Juárez Auditorium where the first dose Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is applied under the Jalisco Model to residents over 50 years, the application now reaches 76,110 biologicals applied in four days of activities. Yesterday 17,346 doses were applied at this headquarters.

The registration for the second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine pending in Zapopan for adults over 60 years of age continues to be available at the mivacuna.salud.gob website shown below.  This campaign begins next Monday, as well as the application of the first doses for people over 50 years, ahead of the dates for Guadalajara and Zapopan. For more details you can consult the jalisco.gob vaccination communicado. The Jalisco Health Secretariat (SSJ) invites Jalisco residents to stay informed through the official channels where the municipalities and vaccination points are announced; as well as the dates on which they will be taking place.

It is reiterated to the population of Jalisco that the pandemic is still active and therefore masks should be used properly (this simple measure can reduce the risk of contagion by up to 90%,) stay only for a short time in public spaces, maintain a distance of 1.5 meters between people, and wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use 70% alcohol-based gel.

If symptoms such as a persistent cough, respiratory distress, a fever that does not subside or blood oxygenation decrease to less than 92 occur, you should go to an emergency unit and not wait for a confirmatory test of COVID-19.

Since March 14, 2020 - the day the first two patients were notified in Jalisco - to date there have been 250,714 confirmed cases in the entity, detected thanks to the RADAR System; as well as a total of 12,335 deaths confirmed by the SARS-CoV-2 virus infection.
