72% of Educational Personnel Have Already Had Their Covid Vaccine

At the cutoff this Monday, 148,387 doses of the CanSino vaccine have been supplied, of which only one dose is required, under a model that has avoided long lines and streamlines the process.

Tomorrow will be the last day of vaccination to the teaching profession.

203,850 doses have been assigned for the teaching, administrative, and support staff of the entire State; both in the public and private spheres and from basic education to higher level.

With the coverage achieved, only the central region remains to be completed. Tomorrow will be the last day of vaccination to teachers, and only in the Benito Juárez Auditorium. If you missed the appointment, it is advisable to go to this headquarters.

Considering 26 municipalities in various regions, the application of the second dose against SARS-CoV-2 of the AstraZeneca vaccine for older adults was 80%. 47,090 people aged 60 years and over have already been immunized with the complete scheme.

Meanwhile, seven municipalities today registered an advance of 63.7 % in the application of the CanSino vaccine, which was intended for lagging older adults. With this, 7,011 people have been protected. In both groups, vaccination continues this Tuesday.

It is important to take into account that immunity against the coronavirus is reached starting 15 days after the application of the second dose, or first dose in the case of a single dose formula.

Vaccines are safe and effective to avoid serious complications from this disease, but even vaccinated people can get and spread the coronavirus, therefore prevention measures must be maintained.

The SSJ reminds that the pandemic is active and therefore invites the entire population to use face masks properly (this simple measure can reduce the risk of contagion by up to 90%), stay for a short time in public spaces, maintain a distance of 1.5 meters between people, and wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use 70% alcohol gel.

In case of presenting symptoms such as persistent cough, respiratory distress, fever that does not subside or blood oxygenation decreases to less than 92, you should go to an emergency unit and not wait for a confirmatory test of COVID-19.

Since March 14, 2020 - the day the first two patients were notified in Jalisco - to date there have been 246,052 confirmed cases in the entity, detected thanks to the RADAR System; as well as a total of 11,816 deaths confirmed by the SARS-CoV-2 infection.
