Seapal Serves Residents of Palmar de Aramara with Commitments of Repair

Mayor Luis Michel instructed all his directors to go out to the field to personally attend to the needs of the people of Vallarta.

On the instruction of the municipal president Luis Alberto Michel Rodríguez, to make Seapal an open-door organization close to the people of Vallarta, its director Salvador Llamas Urbina personally went to the Palmar de Aramara neighborhood to attend to the requests from a group of neighbors.

In a tour of the area, the general director of Seapal, together with personnel from the areas involved, listened to the problems inherited from the previous administration, which derives from the rehabilitation works to the water network run by a contractor company throughout the colony.

In the dialogue, various commitments emerged, from which the tasks for the replacement of damaged drainage manhole covers were immediately started, and the cordoning in current and high-risk work areas was reinforced to avoid accidents.

Also the cleaning of the mounds of earth and materials resulting from the work is already being carried out, as well as the filling of two ditches on calle Océano Índico, fixing leaks already occurring in the new line, and the verification of addresses that they are still without service for their immediate reconnection.

Another commitment was the construction of a canal that connects with a storm drain so that rainwater does not accumulate at the intersection of María Montessori and Océano Índico streets.

The head of the Directorate of Studies and Projects, Alonso García Armenta, said that these actions will be carried out by the contractor company, or if necessary, with resources and personnel from the Public Works Department, and charged back to said construction company.

It should be noted that Gabriela Molina Acuña, Secretary of the Palmar de Aramara Neighborhood Board, highlighted the willingness on the part of Seapal Vallarta's managers to solve this problem, including weekly approaches to jointly monitor the progress.
