Over the Past Several Years, Puerto Vallarta’s Public Services Have Improved

After six years of management, the municipal government of Puerto Vallarta headed by Jorge Antonio Quintero Alvarado, has made history in the improvement of public services.

This as a result of a series of works and actions that have been carried out with the consideration of financial discipline and order in the administration of public resources.

Among the main actions, it stands out having recovered the concession for a private collection company, since for many months the streets of the city and its neighborhoods were flooded with garbage, generating not only a public health problem but also a bad image to this tourist destination.

In these six years, this problem was solved, and 36 new collection trucks were acquired that currently collect garbage 365 days a year, thus complying with a more efficient collection service for citizens.

Likewise, a new cell was set up in the “El Gavilán” sanitary landfill that will give it a capacity of 15 more years for the deposit of the garbage that is generated daily in the city. A transfer plant was also built, which has made the collection service more efficient throughout the municipality.

In this sense, the municipal government has complied with providing public services that take care of the health of Vallartans and visitors, as well as the environment.

Other improvements throughout the city include a new municipal road that was built allowing improved service to producers, machinery was acquired for the parks and gardens area to attend more efficiently the cleaning of public spaces and green areas of the municipality, in addition to lighting the city and the main avenues with energy-saving LED technology, among many other actions.
