As part of the preventive actions against Covid-19 that have been reinforced by the municipal government, the Public Services Department carries out the sanitation of public spaces and buildings, as well as urban furniture.
This measure, together with the care taken by citizens, will help prevent the spread of this disease.
The director of Municipal Public Services of Puerto Vallarta, Armando Ibarría Urrutia, explained that these sanitation tasks have been carried out for ten days, dividing the activities into two schedules. "We start at 5:30 in the morning, more or less, it takes us an hour and a half in what is the downtown area, from Hidalgo Park to the Los Muertos pier, the entire boardwalk, which is where we have a lot of contact with the tourists. We also work the truck stops, and the main offices of the agencies and delegations at night, when it rains we do it in the morning.”
To the above, he pointed out, the sanitization of public buildings such as the municipal presidency, the Municipal Administrative Unit, the Municipal DIF, the Police Station, among others, is added, so that those who come every day to carry out some procedure or service, find a healthier environment. For this, the Saniblend product is used, whose active ingredient is parachloromethaxylene with the authorization of Cofepris.
Also, the vehicles that are used by Public Services personnel are sanitized, as well as the areas for these units, to take care of the health of all personnel.
He added that these works will be carried out every day throughout this month and part of the next, and according to the evolution in the number of cases, they could continue with these for as long as required.
The official recalled that although these actions are important, they are a complement to the preventive measures that citizens must adopt, such as the use of face masks, hand washing, healthy distance, and the use of antibacterial gel, because in this way we can prevent the spread of this disease.
“We invite all citizens to take care of themselves. We invite them to use their mask, their antibacterial gel. I think it is one of the best things to bring them, to use them, than to be infected, that is why we invite you all to take care of yourself and help us take care of ourselves.”
