Vallarta SEAPAL Works to Improve Service Continuity in Palmar de Aramara

With comprehensive rehabilitation works of the drinking water network, Seapal will improve the quality and continuity of this vital service for the benefit of around 4,000 inhabitants of the Palmar de Aramara neighborhood.

This was announced by the general director of SEAPAL Vallarta, Santiago Centeno Ulín, who reported that in the tasks that began on May 31, 6.5 million pesos are invested with resources from the agency and its counterpart of federal origin.

He explained that with good administration and execution of the resources, the organism in its municipal stage continues to advance in the improvement of services through priority works, which in this case, will put an end to constant interruptions in service because the lifespan of tubing that has been in use for over 40 years has expired.

Carlos Manzano Madera, director of studies and projects, affirmed that he is replacing the currently obsolete network of 4,515 linear meters with a totally new one in PVC, including distribution and conduction lines, as well as household connections, which guarantees a useful life for the next 50 years.

He explained that the pipeline will be placed at an adequate depth, since the current line is at a depth of between 2 and 3 meters, and in combination with other factors such as the water table and the instability of the ground due to the presence of sands, complicated repair work in that colony.

SEAPAL Vallarta informs that due to the works of improvement of drinking water networks, the Palmar de Aramara neighborhood will present restrictions on the roads intermittently until September.

The Director of Studies and Projects, Carlos Manzano Madera, indicated that the intervention is individually contemplated in each of the roads of the colony, since the entire hydraulic infrastructure is being replaced.

He specified that the works have begun on Mar Mediterráneo Street with the installation of the 2-inch diameter line on both sidewalks, and will then be moved to the Privada Oceano Pacifico, where these tasks will be replicated.

He thanked the inhabitants and merchants of Palmar de Aramara for their understanding regarding inconveniences that could arise as a result of the construction process, and urged them to take the pertinent precautions, as well as to be attentive to the notices of the agency in their official channels of communication.
